The OrganizationFDR has a long history of supporting the rowing program at Dartmouth but we recognize that over the past decades, the organization has not been as active as it could be. Over the past few years, we have made great strides! We have improved our contact database (which is separate from the College’s), begun to clarify and better communicate the program’s fiscal needs, built an informative website, established events that are drawing an increasing number of alumni, and launched a Class Captains program to reach more alumni.
But there is still much work to be done. There are hundreds of alumni we haven’t reached yet. There are fall and spring races without alumni present. And we need to significantly improve giving to keep our crews competitive. Please don’t hesitate to get involved! If you are interested in helping further our organization by giving your time or enthusiasm, please fill out the form on our 'Be a Friend' page. We cannot express how grateful we are for the support that so many alumni have already shown for Friends of Dartmouth Rowing through generous financial gifts and by volunteering valuable time and skills. | FODR MeetingsAll meetings of FODR are open to all alumni, parents, and other supporters of the Dartmouth rowing program. - The next FDR meeting will be held on May 23 at 12pm EST - Locations will be available in Boston and New York. A phone dial-in option will also be provided.
